560 m2 / Maximum 8 people / 4 bedrooms with king-size beds / 4 bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms / Infinity pool with outdoor kitchen / Spa and fitness / Architect: Richard Meier / Exclusive view of Lake Garda
This architectural dream in white appears almost futuristic, creating a successful contrast to the colors of the lovely Mediterranean landscape on Lake Garda. The interior is dominated by light and lightness, selected color accents and stylish designer furniture, which give the spacious, open-plan rooms a special charisma.
The exclusively equipped villa for up to eight people offers four bedrooms with king-size beds, a private spa area with steam bath, and a cozy panoramic lounge
and a wine shop. A beautiful view extends from the outdoor pool and the 360 m2 terrace over the Mediterranean park landscape to Lake Garda.
Smooth white-clad house walls, cubic shapes and large glass surfaces that bring lots of light inside - that's what defines Villa Richard Meier. The ground floor houses the spa and wine shop. The upper floor combines the dining room, kitchen and living room, which continues outdoors on the floating pool terrace. Another floor is inserted, which is mainly occupied by the bedrooms. The furniture and interior design also follows the minimalist concept in terms of color.
The three-story Villa Richard Meier is embedded in the hillside. The building is typical of its well-known architect with an office in New Jersey: very clear geometric-cubic shapes, white-clad exterior walls and lots of glass for light-flooded interiors. The base floor of the Villa Richard Meier offers space for a spa, bathrooms and a wine bar, while the upper floor contains a wide, light room with a dining room, living room and kitchen. And here in front is the terrace with a pool, whose blue water visually merges with that of Lake Garda. The view extends to the east bank and far to the south. The architect says his designs are not influenced by the so-called Bauhaus style; he prefers to see himself in the tradition of Le Corbusier's residential architecture. His villa was designed with the intention of capturing the magnificent light of Lake Garda in all its dramatic shades, carefully framing the view of the lake and the extraordinary landscape for every room in the villa: “That is what interests us: the light as a building material and the view as inspiration.”
