Nestled in the Mediterranean hilly landscape of Lake Garda, this elegant villa exudes the timeless charm of classic pergola houses and at the same time more than does justice to the grandeur of the Lake Garda landscape. Various building ensembles, which become a unit in an architecturally sophisticated way, give this privileged box seat above the lake with a stylish and airy, light designer interior a touch of almost surreal beauty.
A guest house with a bedroom complements the luxuriously furnished villa with its three bedrooms, the private outdoor pool with views of Lake Garda and the large terrace. A fully equipped kitchen is integrated into the stylish dining area.
The villa with its two connected parts of the building fascinates with a series of excitingly designed interior and exterior spaces. Due to the exposed location of the staggered buildings with their terraces shaded by modern pergolas, the villa benefits from the direct view of Lake Garda: especially from the pool terrace, which has its sophisticated location at roof level behind the Chipperfield Nord villa. The associated guest house also takes up the clear lines of the villa including the pergola terrace.
The villa complex was designed by the internationally renowned British architect David Chipperfield. The two connected building cubes are staggered up a terraced slope. With its very clean lines and walls made of light stone, the villa blends into the Mediterranean landscape. For this design, Chipperfield was inspired by the pergolas of the south, which provide airy roofs for the terraces here - supported by narrow concrete columns in light gray. These take up the lines of the cypress trees in the terrain with its designed Mediterranean landscape that reach towards the blue sky. The hillside location allows the pool and terrace to be placed behind the buildings at roof height. The view from there, far over Lake Garda, is unique.
